Indian Players Who Won All 3 ICC White Ball Trophies

Every player takes great delight in representing India in an ICC competition. The ultimate goal is to bring home the silverware, and India has shown itself in the international arena by winning several important ICC events. 

The Indian players who have won the Champions Trophy, T20 World Cup, and ODI World Cup are highlighted in this article. These are the three main ICC whiteball trophies.

Virender Sehwag

Virender Sehwag, the explosive opener, was instrumental in India’s joint victory in the 2002 Champions Trophy, where he scored 271 runs in 5 innings at an average of 90.33.

Sehwag contributed 133 runs in the 2007 T20 World Cup and began the 2011 ODI World Cup with a brilliant 175 against Bangladesh, finishing with 380 runs in 8 innings.

Yuvraj Singh

Yuvraj Singh, another key player, scored 65 runs in the 2002 Champions Trophy, including a vital 62 against South Africa in the semi-final. His memorable performance in the 2007 T20 World Cup, where he hit six consecutive sixes against England, helped him score 148 runs at a strike rate of 194.73.

Yuvraj’s all-round performance in the 2011 ODI World Cup earned him the Player of the Tournament award, with 362 runs and 15 wickets.

Harbhajan Singh

The former off-spinner Harbhajan Singh took six wickets in the 2002 Champions Trophy, ranking him third in terms of wicket-taking. In the 2007 T20 World Cup, he took 7 wickets; in the 2011 ODI World Cup, he took 9 wickets, including a vital 2 for 43 against Pakistan in the semifinal.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni

The former skipper, MS Dhoni, guided India to triumph in each of the three main ICC competitions. In six innings during the 2007 T20 World Cup, Dhoni scored 154 runs. In 2011, he led India to victory in the ODI World Cup, amassing 241 runs in 8 matches, including a game-winning 91* in the final. Dhoni’s leadership was crucial in the 2013 Champions Trophy, and he also contributed with nine wickets taken from behind the stumps.

Virat Kohli

Virat Kohli debuted in the 2011 ODI World Cup, scoring 282 runs in 9 innings. He was among the top 5 run-getters in the 2013 Champions Trophy, with 176 runs in 5 innings.

In the 2024 T20 World Cup, Kohli played an essential role, scoring 151 runs in 8 innings, including a critical 76 against South Africa in the final.
